Week 3 - Understanding ELA Instruction
Reading- has 5 components:
reading, writing, speaking, listening and language. The goal is the develop
comprehension and for students to show a steadily ability of texts idea,
connections and evidence.
Writing- Connecting reading,
writing and being able to develop writing skills: plan, revise, edit and publish.
Writing also enhances different texts: arguments, informative/ explanatory
texts and narrative.
Speaking & Listening: Students develop a range
of broadly use of oral communication and interpersonal skills. They must also
learn to express, listen to ideas, integrate information orally, visual and
media sources.
Language: Are the essential rules of standard writing
and spoken English. Also focuses on vocabulary, understanding words, phrases and
acquiring new vocabulary.
