1. What
gaming elements provide users the learning content and how?
This game allows students to practice on their spelling and
grammar. The word would not pop unless it is typed out correctly. The most
words have to be popped with the time limit in order to move on to the next
level.
2. What is
the goal of the game?
The goal of the game is for students to pop as many words on the
space ship within the amount of time. The words that are being used in the game
on the most common misspelled word in the appropriate grade they choose.
3. What
are rules of playing this game?
A word appears on the screen on a spaceship and the first letter
in highlighted in green. After each letter has been typed out the word pops and
goes to the next word. You have to pop as many words before the timer runs out.
4. Does
this game have any scenario design? (Refer to the journal article page 5.) If
yes, is this a fabricated or embedded in curriculum-related content?
I can say that the game has a scenario/embedded in curriculum
design, because in order for students to become fast and efficient with the game
they have to improve their grammar and spelling. The content of the words and options
for the game are related to what they are doing on a daily basis in school.
